Below are features new to the Grandia series!

Aerial Combos--
An Aerial Combo is when one character sends an enemy flying into the air and another character hits him before he hits the ground. Each of your characters have powerful attacks that can only be used during a successful Aerial Combo, so try to perfom as many as possible.

Orbs--
The power of the Guardians. Once you use an Orb, you must wait for the Orb Gauge to refill before using another Orb. The Orb Gauge will slowly refill by defeating enemies, when it changes to a rainbow, you will be able to use it once again.

Search Surroundings--
When outside or in a dungeon, you can see if there are any search points around you, such as treasure chests, simply by pressing the Square button.

Swinging Sword--
When outside or in a dungeon, press the Circle button to swing your sword to stun monsters or destroy objects.

Surprise Attacks/First Strikes--
You can swing your sword outside of battle to stun your enemy so you may have Initiative.

Ability to Fly an Airplane--
Throughout the game you will have many opportunities to control an airplane.

Magic/Skill Shops--
There are Magic and Skill Shop's inwhich you can buy/sell Magic and Skills, aswell as extract them from Mana Eggs and/or Skill Books.

Extracting Magic and Skills--
You can now take unneeded Mana Egg's and Skill Book, and have Magic or Skills Extracted from them.

Arrange Dice--
A nice Mini-Game, where you whole dice in hope's of getting numbers that match your card's.

Boost Effects--
By equipping Mana Egg's or Skill Book's to your Party Member's you can boost certain skill's or spells you have equipped to them.

Expert Status--
By using certain command's in battle, you increase either your Skill Level, Special Level, or Magic Level allowing you to equip more skills and magic.

Strategy Advice System--
Your Party will warn you when you have the chance to cancel an enemies command, or being targeted by a powerful attack.

Use Weapon--
Some weapons have special abilities inwhich you may use in battle.

Secret Methods--
If you continue to use Special Moves, you will discover Secret Method's of doing them, which will boost the effect of the Special Move.

Excellent Bonus--
If you defeat all enemies without being damaged your SP is restored by 10%.
